📅 November 26, 2026 (Thursday)

Nagula Chavithi is a Telugu festival dedicated to Naga Devata (Serpent God) — observed on Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha in Kartika month. Women and families worship snake idols and anthills (naga valmika) for blessings of fertility, protection from snake bites, and family prosperity.

Significance

In Vedic tradition, serpents (Nagas) are sacred — representing fertility, wisdom, eternity, and the Kundalini energy. The Naga is associated with Lord Shiva (who wears serpents as ornaments) and Lord Vishnu (who rests on Adisesha). Worshipping Nagas is believed to remove Naga Dosha and bless the family with children.
